Shanghai Times Square cordially presented a “Rhythm of the Spring” Trio concert performed by Japanese musician Shigenori Kudo, one of the world’s finest flautists, accompanied by pianist Xiaoqian Li and harpist Yuying Chan. The concert was the opening of 2010.
Shanghai Times Square and Cultural Office of the Consulate General of Italy, Shanghai jointly launched the “Espresso Italiano Exhibition” on February 25, 2010, including an ancient hand-made Italian coffee machine, 20 different types of coffee makers in different times, the new design of Alessi coffee pot, some graphic presentations and vivid images. Those made up a window of coffee culture for the guests to understand the coffee tradition and trace the origin of espresso and coffee machines among the aroma of coffee.

Dr. Greg A. Livingston, a licensed Chinese Medicine Physician, delivered a lecture on the modern view of Chinese medicine. He gave the audience unconventional answers to what was qi and what were the acupuncture meridians, etc. Also he discussed what types of conditions could be treated with Chinese Medicine, and gave some practical advices on staying healthy during the Shanghai winter and spring.
