Shanghai, July 9th, 2009—A stunning new Mediterranean dining concept is the latest addition to the buzzing West Nanjing Road Area of Shanghai. Cristal restaurant is located on 4th floor, Crystal Pavilion Clubhouse, 175 Taixing Road and is the brainchild of Executive Chef, Alexandre Molina.
Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch, tapas and drinks, the restaurant and bar aims to convey a strong Mediterranean theme through the use of light, earthy colors and natural materials. Covering an area of 460 square meters it has a total seating capacity of 86. Characterized by floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a nice view of the surrounding area, it consists of 5 rooms. The largest room is located just next to the swimming pool and opens to an outdoor terrace. The other ones are more intimate and can be divided into 1 board room, two medium rooms and one private room.
Cristal’s cuisine is based on the Mediterranean diet, known all around the world to be tasty, yet healthy and balanced. Special emphasis is placed on the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients and light condiments. The recipes, that draw their origin especially from France, Italy, Spain and Greek, but also from North Africa and Middle East, range between more traditional to innovative ones. They incorporate also touches from Asiatic cuisine.
The Cristal cuisine is complemented by an excellent wine list that includes both a selection of boutique wines and an assortment of widely acclaimed wines. Cristal Restaurant offers classic and innovative cocktails, including a range of seasonal Martinis, Cosmopolitans, Daiquiris and delicious champagne cocktails. |
